Katya Galay, LAc

Clinical Director
Board Certified in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine

Katya is a practitioner of traditional eastern medicine specializing in endocrine and reproductive health. Her acupuncture style is a combination of evidence based protocols and various Japanese acupuncture approaches, known for their effectiveness and comfortable experience for patients. She graduated from New England School of Acupuncture in Boston, MA in 2017 with a Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She has since completed advanced training in women’s endocrinology and reproductive health, as well as autoimmune disorders and functional medicine. Up until 2022 she has been running a successful private practice in southern New Hampshire, winning the Best of NH (603) recognition in 2021. She has recently moved to Albany, New York to start Life Cycles Clinic with the mission to improve women’s health and wellness using natural healing methods.

Katya grew up in Ukraine and Russia, and moved to the US after getting her Master’s degree in Linguistics and Education. As a child of a military pilot she moved from city to city across the vast Soviet Union. Her Ukrainian mom and grandmother made sure there was good food on the table, and, more importantly — herbal remedies for every ailment. Motivated by desire to be of service to others she set out for a new journey to the US where she found a passion for natural healing. Fast forward to today, she now combines her love of teaching and healing. She truly believes that when patients learn good lifestyle habits, as well as basic physical and mental self-care, they come to know and experience themselves more fully and live happier lives as a result of that.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking wholesome meals, skiing, hiking, and reading a good book on philosophy.

Gretchen Baker

Patient Care Specialist

Gretchen began working for Katya at the start of 2020 as the clinic coordinator. Since that time, Gretchen has worked to create a smooth flow for patients beginning with their first consultation and throughout treatment. She has a passion for helping people reach their goals and doing all she can to guide them through the process.

Prior to working with Katya, Gretchen began her career with a Bachelor’s in Management from Bryant University and worked in a corporate setting for several years. After the birth of her second child, she trained as a Massage Therapist and ran a successful clinic of her own for seven years before retiring and returning to the corporate world. Missing the energy of a healing environment and wanting to make a difference, Gretchen welcomed the opportunity to work in a therapy setting in support of Katya. She currently lives in New Hampshire with her husband as she watches her children pursue their adult lives.
